The Dixie Classic Fair is more than an event it is a tradition

The smell of turkey legs, roasted corn on the cob, ribs and other specialities served up by various vendors can only mean one thing:  it must be time for the annual tradition of the Dixie Classic Fair.  As long as I can remember the fair has been a fall event for our family.  With the rides, food, displays, concerts, etc. there is something for all ages.  A couple of “can’t miss” items for me are a country ham sandwich from one of the local church groups and kettle corn that is popped on the fair ground.  Bluegrass music in Yesterday Village and some general people watching round out a good night.  This year the weather was perfect (the last couple of years we have dodged rain and/or cold temperatures) and the fair did not disappoint.
